Department of Health publishes seasonal flu programme review

UVIG notes today’s publication of Review of the arrangements for the Seasonal Influenza Programme.

Member companies are in the process of evaluating the recommendations contained within the report and their potential implications.

It is disappointing that the reviewers did not see fit to consult individual vaccine manufacturers in addition to UVIG, as this would have provided a more thorough insight and better understanding of industry’s contribution to seasonal flu campaigns. UVIG and its member companies look forward to further clarification as to how the recommendations in the report will be taken forward.
